Bills sign Reggie Wells
The Bills have signed veteran offensive guard Reggie Wells to fill the roster spot vacated by Collin Brown being placed on season ending Injured Reserve. Wells is a former 6th round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2003. He played for the Cardinals for seven years before bouncing around the league, starting 91 games along the way.
This move is made necessary by the Bills offensive line being bitten by the injury bug for yet another season. Starters Cordy Glenn and Craig Urbik were already out with ankle injuries suffered in the New England game and they will not be back for at least another week. Going into the 49'ers game Chad Rinehart, the man replacing Urbik, aggravated a calf injury forcing Collin Brown into the game. Brown played for less than 20 snaps before he too suffered an injury, his to his hamstring forcing third string tackle Sam Young to play right guard. It is expected that Young will play guard for the Cardinals game if Rinehart can't go and while Wells gets up to speed with the playbook. Yeesh
